Thredbo Bucket List

As Thredbo is a place of two seasons, distinctly green and white or summer and winter here are two sets lists for your must do in Thredbo, the Thredbo Bucket List

Thredbo in Summer

  1. Walk to Mt Kosciusko from the top of Eagles Nest
  2. Ride the cannonball on a mountain bike down the mountain
  3. BBQ by the Thredbo river with the family and look for a platypus
  4. Drive up to dead horse gap, down to Khancoban, across to Cabramurra ( australia highest town ) back on the snowy mountains highway into Berridale and then back to Thredbo via Jindabyne
  5. Swim in a mountain rockpool, ( ask the locals )
  6. Play golf at Australia’s highest golf course, remember ” your balls go further in Thredbo”
  7. Catch the Kosciuszko chairlift to Eagles Nest
  8. The Thredbo blues Festival in mid January www.thredboblues.com
  9. Visit the Wild Brumby “snappery” on the Alpine Way
  10. Ride a bike around the village!

Thredbo in Winter

  1. Ski the Crackenback Supertrail
  2. Swim in a mountain rockpool — its slightly cooler than summer
  3. Lunch at Kareela Hutte
  4. Morning coffee at Eagles Nest
  5. Watch the Saturday evening fireworks and flare run from the Thredbo hotel bistro balcony
  6. find a stash of Thredbo powder
  7. Ski in the Thredbo ” Top to Bottom” from the top of Karels back to the village”
  8. Drinks at the Apres Bar listening to Mark Travers
  9. Walk the alpine way when its snowing to Dead Horse Gap
  10. Enjoy a swim at the leisure centre

A great list of things to do in Thredbo both in summer and winter. The Wild Brumby is a great place for lunch but the highlight of any summer visit is to get up early and head to the top
